Hello Ladies,
Nothing much to share with you other than we are busy right now for the coming tennis tournament. This interclub tournament is done every year from sept to dec. We play only once a week and the game starts from 6:00pm and ends often at 11:00pm. This is a social tennis competition which is also becoming a family sports in our own club. We belong to the International club. We will be playing against 10 clubs/ (American, bagha for british club, british high commision, canadian, dutch, australian, international club, german, nordic and japanese clubs) simultaneously. We have 3 team category in each club, the A, B and C team. Steph is in A, I and Alex now are in B. Last year, Alex & Colleen were in C and since their team reached the final, best palyers go to higher category in the next tournament. This tournament is gives us fun, the sports advantage and the camaraderie. All throughout the tournament, you get to meet new people which sometimes become a good friend. You get to experience the negative side of it too, like arguments with players who thought their balls are in and called out by the armpire and they become aggressive like throwing their rackets once they lose. Luckily, we never have this kind of temperament in my team or in our club. It seems we are the temperate kind, taking this sports lightly in the sense of social tennis.
Tennis is a racquet sport played between either two players ("singles") or two teams of two players ("doubles"). Player(s) use a stringed racquet to strike a hollow rubber ball covered in felt over a net into the opponent's court. In some places, tennis is still called lawn tennis, to distinguish it from real tennis (also known as royal tennis or court tennis), an older form of the game that is played indoors on a very different kind of a court. ...Our Tournament is a double game of five. Two sets of men's double, two sets of mixed doubles and 1 ladies double. Participants are allowed to play twice. We play in 2 kinds of courts, the hardcourt mainly and the rubber court
Here are some souveneir of those tournaments here and somewhere: Our tournament will start this monday, the 2nd of October, 2006. We look forward to this funful event. Happy weekends to all..
