Australian Spree in New Southwales
Australia is vast almost double the size of Europe. Although it is justly renowned for it's natural beauties, it's varied cities offered their fair share of art, architecture and historical interest. Australia's biggest attraction is its natural beauty. The landscape varies from endless dense tropical rainforest to chilly southern beaches. Scattered along the coast, its cities blend a European enthusiasm for art and food with laid-back love for sports and the outdoors.
Sydney is Australia's oldest city, the economic powerhouse of the nation and the country's capital in everything but name. It's blessed with sun-drenched natural attraction, dizzy skycrapers, delicious and daring restaurants, superb shopping and friendly folks.
Although it's come a long way from its convict beginnings, it still has a rough and ready energy and offers an invigorating blend of the old and the new, the raw and the refined. While high culture attracts some to the Opera House, gaudy nightlife attracts others to the King Cross. Sydney Harbour, dramatic cliffs and stunning beaches define the city. But whichever way, from the white sails of the harbour to the arc of The Coathanger to the toned flesh of Bondi Sydney is serious eye-candy.

The Sydney Opera House
We arrived in Sydney with our friends from Singapore. We took an apartment which is just ten muinutes drive from darling harbour. We were delighted to see our place. It was spacious and new. It was fully furnished with two rooms, each with private bath, a living room and a kitchen yet we were never able to maximize the facilities. At least we get to use the laundry and dryer machines. Driving around Sydney is not an easy navigation but our driver
has done a great job.

The Harbour Bridge or The Coathanger
Our friends stayed nearer the harbour. The parking in Sydney was real expensive, our only choice was to get a free parking after 6pm up to 8pm in some streets. Grrr!! We went around darling harbour , see museums, visit the opera in and out and on to the bridge. We made a cruise to see more of sydney’s waterfront. We went to their beaches . We took time to visit their animal parks and went around shopping too. Alex was into buying tennis and football jerseys and the cap, my gosh!!!
everytime he sees one he stopped. It’s incredible, Colleen seems to like all but Alex has a preference.
The sleeping beauty Koala
Hey, Isn't this a fascinating look, Colleen loves this photo
Alex trying the didjerido
We visited the northern territory cultural center and listen to demonstration of aboriginal sounds of music. I like so much the sounds emanating from didjerido.
On the 30th and 31st, our friends from Dhaka joined us for dinner and it was a fun togetherness. We had dinner together with all our kids and all spent New year watching the beautiful fireworks in the Harbour. Truly a spectacular show of marvelous fireworks in the making.
Our week stay is not enough to see all yet we have enjoyed so much the few places we visited.
Please join with us in this tour as you go around our pages http://www.geocities.com/belltour06/bluemts.htm
